IG are independently established and funded, and jointly report to Congress directly.

The delay has been allowing those named and their lawyers to read and comment on the findings.

I’m not expecting much from 0bama’s cover-up agent. I’m starting to lose hope of Barr and Durham coming up with anything important or brings anyone to justice for their criminal actions.

Good remarks by DiGenova. If the report concludes FISA abuse was not systematic, then Congress should refuse to re-up FISA, and should hold public hearings with the FISA judges.

Good call. FISA is not being used to protect US privacy, it is being used to invade it. Why pay for an expensive process to cover up systematic snooping that would otherwise be 4th amendment violations?

Bongino, DiGenova and others have been trying to let us down gently for over a month.

It’s going to be weak compared to expectations is what they have been saying.

Regardless of what’s in his report, I don’t expect much action to be taken. The republicans are simply too nice, or too weal, or too corrupt when it comes to holding people accountable.

We’ve seen it lately when Barr refused to indict Comey when he had evidence to do so.

The reality is Trump stand alone in draining the swamp and God willing he will win another term to continue to MAGA as best he can.

Michael Horowitz is a DEMOCRAT!!

Michael Horowitz is going to whitewash this whole investigation with stupid little process crimes, letting all the real criminals off the hook for their real crimes!

-- I can't imagine why people think indictments would wait for an internal administrative report. --

Roughly because but for public exposure, prosecutors never go after each other, no matter how bad they know the conduct. Same idea as the thin blue line, good cops never rat out bad ones. It takes some sort of external event to bring the bad ones into the light, and public demand then forces a reaction.

The internal administrative reporting is used to limit and control the damage to the institution, without exposing its inherent corruption. IOW, having the IG creates the illusion that the operation is approximately honest.

If it wasn't for some sort of public exposure, there would be ZERO consequence for the routine malfeasance and abuse of power. No agency polices itself.

For the better part of a year or more we have been told this report will be “devastating”. Remember the old saying that if something sounds to good to be true, it usually is. Whenever something is hyped like this report has been, my BS alarm goes off. I realize the IG cant arrest and prosecute but he sure can refer for prosecution. WILL HE??

-- Michael Horowitz is a DEMOCRAT!! --

He'd write the same sort of report if he was a republican. There is a reason he obtained this position, and the reason is party agnostic. He's expert at protecting the institution.

DiGenova made a good point. Criminal or not, the bad conduct was driven from the top levels of the institutions, and if THAT is whitewashed, then the institution (in this case, narrowly FISA) should be shut down.

The people at the top at least knew the process was being abused, and they did nothing about it. At most, they caused or ordered the abuse. I don;t care if the reason was to find out about girlfriends, but here it was to affect the outcome of the presidential election.

Our own government is the biggest meddler in elections, and it meddles using falsehood. Not just elections, pick any current event, and chances are the government is lying to you about it. Wars are started and maintained this way, why not elections?

Do I have to watch the video if I've already concluded that government flacks have never seriously investigated fellow government flacks?

The only play we have is to ensure Trump's re-election and watch the left reach terminal TDS.

I don't know what to think. Sean Hannity and John Solomon say their 'sources' have been predicting the Horowitz report will be "damning". Damning to who, I don't know.

Rush Limbaugh warns that Horowitz is part of the Deep State swamp, so we had better not get our expectations up. Rush thinks we're going to be greatly disappointed.

Guess we'll find out on Monday...

I wonder if Carter Page will have a legal case to pursue after this report comes out. It seems like he has been financially impacted by all this S..!.
