Not just weapons. Oil, Drugs, people, organs/bone marrow etc.
For an example, In the Middle East, they steal oil, load it into pickups, and transport it to other countries. That’s called a rat line. Truck after truck hauls the trafficked oil. All those involved are rat line personnel.

Black market oil—Marc Rich trafficked embargoed oil from Libya. Kicked back money to the Clintons. Slick pardoned him on his last day in office. Rinse and Repeat for all the other types of items.

USA has rat lines running stuff like uranium/mining operations in Western States and out to the WW black market. Additionally rat lines into USA for drugs etc.
