Damn. That’s just one individual. Even with max contribution limits, what if every foreign national immigrant coming from these suspect nations is funneling funds from their nation of origin to influence our elections/candidates/elect officials/judges/legislation/etc?
Say hundreds of thousands of individuals here “legally” and even have become citizens for the sole purpose of delivering max contributions to every single candidate, foundation, etc their bidders desire. None of it would look like foreign influence but it would very much be foreign influence and all within individual limits, shielded by legitimacy of law. How do you even counter that? Maybe even through a foreign owned business they work at so it even looks like legitimate earned income that they are donating with? So who does Ahmad work for and are any of his colleagues doing the exact same thing to the same causes?
Or, am I just seeing the obvious to everyone but me and I need to get back on the Slow Joe bus?
