Black cats have hard time getting adopted.
I adopted one five years ago. Nicest, sweetest little kitty. Halloween was coming and I was concerned about the people who were looking to adopt a black cat Halloween week.

Many years ago during a televised Cubs game a black cat took the field. A groundskeeper ran out and grabbed it. Bad move. The cat tore him up. The guy was a skinny black dude and looked like Steppin Fetchit carrying the cat off.

Yes, they do and it is a shame. Most have a little white on them so they are just black and white. We have five black cats. Fantastic hunters, great companions, tough as little boots and loyal.
They go with any decor.
