Florida State fires coach Willie Taggart

Florida State has fired coach Willie Taggart, the school announced Sunday. In a statement, Florida State athletic director David Coburn said the university "had no choice but to make a change." The Seminoles went 9-12 under Taggart, who was hired from Oregon prior to last season to replace Jimbo Fisher, who left the school to take over at Texas A&M.

WOW!!! I thought Taggart would last at least this year because he has a $17 MM buy out. I guess the revenue lost from an empty Doak Walker out weighted the buy out payment.

I guess the revenue lost from an empty Doak Walker out weighted the buy out payment. Especially when they can "gofundme" the buyout, which is, essentially, what they did.

Racism, pure and simple. Yup. Makes no sense to do this before the season ends other than to avoid a lynching by the fans.
The rumor is several teams are trying to sign Urban Renewal Meyer and dumping the head coach is a way to show they are serious about courting him.
