My sister-in-law was told repeatedly to abort her baby; the doctor said the baby had serious neural tube defects (parts of brain and spinal cord missing).
She couldnt do the abortion, wouldnt do it. She placed her and the babys lives in Gods hand.
Her baby, Alexa, was born 100% healthy and normal. Shes now a beautiful and intelligent 25 year old.
I was 33 when I was pregnant with my only child. My OBGYN asked me if I wanted to have amniocentesis to see if any birth defects were detected. I told him no, I wanted no part of a search and destroy mission. I told him I
wanted my baby, period and I would love her no matter what. My beautiful daughter was born in perfect health and is now 31 years old.
There was a small empty space where brain matter should have developed in our childs frontal lobe.
I think an empty space in the brain would be normal for a lib baby!
I agree, what would it hurt to hold and love on the baby? I have a very good friend who was told that they couldn’t have kids, they were told to adopt when she became pregnant, obviously they were excited. The next time I saw them, of course the first thing I asked about was the baby. It had died in 5 hours of birth and they were heartbroken and I felt awful. They are good Catholics and wouldn’t have considered an abortion no matter what. About two years later she was pregnant again at almost 40, and they have a beautiful girl, now 9 years old.
The NYT loves abortion.
These philosophical musings of educated, employed, married women who can write articulately are largely irrelevant to the overall social policies around abortion. They are a small, small minority of the women who use abortion to manage their situations.
