Of course they are. It all started with the Confederate flag and monuments even though many on the right are loathe to admit it. And since the underlying premise of their destruction is slavery and ‘racism’ there is no protecting people like Columbus, our Founders, our flag and most of our history pre-1965. Hell even today many things & people are considered ‘racist’. Whites either take a stand or lay down and die. Ultimately our nation, history along with us will be destroyed.

Except of course Columbus didn’t discover America. Wasn’t trying to get to India. And frankly didn’t even land in the US proper, he hit the Bahamas. Really the whole holiday narrative of Columbus is BS and it’s a dumb holiday.
Why is Columbus and American icon?
As far as I know he has no association with America.

This book was written 70 years ago. How prescient Orwell was. The destruction of our history, culture, faiths, educacation, arts, etal actually has been ongoing since....slowly, silently - now openly and accelerated.
