I thought that the painfully obvious lack of proper firebreaks was totally insane when I lived there fourty years ago.
Same here, same timeline. Proper fire breaks would at least slow the fires down.
They still do fire breaks but firebreaks don’t work when the wind can carry embers half a mile. The problem is the wind. SoCal has Santa Ana’s right now.
