BRIDGETON, New Jersey (WPVI) -- More than 100 people gathered Saturday evening for a vigil in honor of a 5-year-old girl who has been missing for seven days in Cumberland County, New Jersey.
The reward for information leading to the whereabouts of Dulce Maria Alavez, who was last seen in a Bridgeton park around 5 p.m. Monday, has grown to $35,000. An Amber Alert remains in effect.
During the vigil, family members explained how hard this week has been.
"At home, there is an emptiness since she hasn't come back," said Dulce's uncle, Abad Perez Alavez. "She hasn't hurt anyone, she's only an innocent child, who likes to have fun and play games, we don't why she's disappeared."
Dulce's grandmother made a plea for anyone with information to please come forward.
"I beg you, if you know something please call the police because the truth is the people that have the little girl don't know what you're causing us. I don't understand what's going on," said Dulce's grandmother, Norma Perez Alavez.
Law enforcement extended their search by air and by ground on Friday near the area she was last seen.

"At this point in the investigation, we continue to follow all possibilities. We remain hopeful that we're going to find Dulce alive," said a person speaking for the Alavez family.
During a news conference, Cumberland County Prosecutor Jennifer Webb-McRae pleaded for anyone, including undocumented immigrants, to come forward with information.
"If you are an undocumented immigrant, do not be concerned about your immigration status, we do not care about your immigration status, we need your info to bring Dulce home," said Webb-McRae.
There's SO much wrong with this story.
I feel terrible for the little girl, but the version of "facts" that the mother offers does not add up at all.
This story encompasses everything that is wrong with glamorizing and embracing illegal aliens.
We are importing the terrible third world into the civilized world and pretending there are no consequences. This will be the end of Western Civilization.
What does dad have to say?
Did dad take the kid back to the home country? If so, the problem is almost solved. Just need to deport Mom.
Don’t know about the rest of the country but in the case of California, 90% of Amber Alerts are NOT some 5 yo little blonde girl getting yanked screaming into the “Free Candy” van of an old man in a trench coat.

In 90% of cases it’s a Mexican man and woman with a child who cannot get along and one of the drives south to the border with the child, doesn’t want to go through a divorce if (probably not) married.
An Amber Alert is a Mexican Couple’s Spat hotline, hijacking the entire state.

I was watching the news tonight. The mom was in the car while the kid was playing. Wonder what she was doing in the car? Drugs? Sex?
I would be with the kid and not in the car.
Arrest the mother for endangering the welfare of a child for her stated leaving a 5 year old to supervise a 3 year old alone in a park and I betcha the truth will swiftly come out.

Thank you for posting this! I kept meaning to. I too have suspected the mother or someone close to the girl. Why was she in the car while her 2 lottle kids were wandering around? The dad is in Mexico so my first thoight is something to do with him...drug cartels or something. She’s lokely illegal. Things are not as they seem.
My guess:
Dulce is the victim of fetal alcohol syndrome (that’s pretty clear). She was probably difficult for an illiterate, non-english speaking, addicted mom to raise, so she was sold off to the cartel member that brought the family to the U.S. to ferry other illegals to the U.S. and get expedited release.
To answer for any questions, as to where Dulce was, mom called the police and figured it would be like a stolen hubcap report. When it wasn’t handled like that, things began to spin out of control and she clammed up.
This story gets worse by the day, but gets less and less coverage.
The wife and I hope to be dead and gone in ten years, fifteen tops. We both know what’s coming. Importing this Third World garbage is the planned end to the West. She feels terrible for her son and his family, I do too. But I know what’s coming. Trump can only do so much. In end these Third World, illiterate baby breeders and criminal social parasites are the globalists plan for destroying the West. Not only here in North America but in Western Europe too.
the story doesn’t smell right..my guess, the kid was never at the park..she was killed earlier and the park story was just made up to cover for the fact that the girl is dead..is there any proof the child was even at the park, any witnesses see her playing on the swings

She also has a 3 year-old, and is pregnant with another (from a different man, who is in ICE custody). In interviews the mother is speaking only Spanish, and the news is silent on her immigration status (here in NJ that would indicate she’s an illegal invader).
