Everybody loves this onion dish. They are crisp, flavorful, very tasty.....and easy to make.

AMISH ONION PATTIES

METHOD Mix 3/4 cup flour, tb ea sugar, cornmeal, 2 tsp b/powder, salt to taste.
Add/mix 3/4 cup milk (batter will be thick). Add 2 1/2 cups chp onions (2 small).

Drop tbl batter into 1/2 inch heated salad oil over medium high heat. Flatten slightly;
brown both sides nice and crisp. Drain and serve.
