Tulsi Gabbard is still an abortion radical
Washington Examiner ^ | Sep 11, 2019 | Kimberly Ross

Rep. Tulsi Gabbard has become somewhat of an independent darling during her run for the White House...During a recent appearance on "The Rubin Report," Gabbard surprised many by vocalizing her personal opposition to third-trimester abortions:

"I take a more libertarian position on this issue that government really shouldn’t be in that place of dictating to a woman the choice that she should make...I think there should be some restrictions, though."

"For me personally, I would not make that choice for myself, but I don’t believe that I should be telling anybody else the kinds of decisions that they should make for themselves or their family and therefore a woman should have the right to choose and I will stand up and fight to protect her right to do so."

"I think the third trimester, unless a woman’s life or severe health consequences is at risk, then there shouldn’t be an abortion in the third trimester."

In contrast to many of Gabbard’s Democratic competitors, this stated opposition to late-term abortion is, at first glance, refreshing. After all, there has been an alarming trend of Democrats offering their support for abortion in the third trimester and even up until the moment of birth.

But in terms of the inherent worth of unborn life and the issue of abortion itself, Gabbard's declaration means very little. Conservatives should not embrace her as a Democratic pro-life champion of any sort.

In 2013, Gabbard co-sponsored a bill that would make numerous "limitations and requirements concerning abortion services unlawful and prohibits their imposition or application by any government." Individual state restrictions would be overridden.

Pro-life group Live Action said of the bill, "This is Roe v. Wade on steroids.

It’s because you are desensitized and don’t realize how foundational abortion has been in putting this country on the road to ruin more than any other issue - economic, military, or otherwise. Those latter things have been secondary.

That's like saying Helen Thomas wasn't a beauty queen.

Tulsi is not REMOTELY anything like a conservative. She's a leftist democrat beloved of "progressives".

She’s about as close to a perfect doctrinaire leftist as you can get. Very radical. Just because she “talks” sensible on a couple issues doesn’t mean her voting record matches her mouth. It’s like that phony Joe Lieberman. He, too, had a perfect leftist record, but pretending to agonize over issues only to vote predictably far-left. He still wasn’t considered Communist enough for the base.

The new kid, rintintin might be the name. Slobbering over her all the time.
Personally, he claiming President Trump is a racist infuriated me. Then to add more assurance that I would view her as reasonable, she claims supporters of President Trump are racist. She can K M A

The bottom line is, Tulsi would still have pretty much the same people in her Administration as any other Democratic candidate would.

Yes. I know a lot of guys here see pictures of Tulsi Gabbard and think "I'd hit it", but all I see are the millions of babies who have been killed as a result of the abortion policies she supports.
