We had to fight dietitians and doctors to help our relatives put their diabetes into remission with low carb. I have a friend with diabetes who took this information to his doctor and the doctor said we were quacks, so he still eats a high carb, diabetes-doctor approved diet.

I know a couple of people like that. Dr. Jason Fung, another leader in this area tells a story of one his patients (an older woman), after having everything explained to her by Dr. Fung, says “That’s great, I’ll have to tell my doctor about it”.
Trust me, they know. For them, going off grid to recommend Keto is a combination of whether they actually believe it works (if it doesn’t, this thread is already full of liars, which, of course, is not the case), and whether they are even PERMITTED to talk about it, much less recommend it. And there’s a whole story in that area.
