This was done both strategically and properly.
Fact: Barr was grilled on this point in his confirmation hearing (video is in a comment on a previous thread). He said, I’d have to see the facts. He did, and decided. Two can play the recusal game.
Fact: FBI now has the CD Rom compromising Epstein’s blackmailed big wigs after the NY townhome raid. We know from the bail hearing and the US DA Berman presser.
Fact: Nancy’s daughter Christine Pelosi said ‘faves’ (plural) were going to be ensnared.
Fact: PDJT nominated Barr. Dems might spin ‘vendetta’ agains WJC and others.
So smart move, Barr recuses, making PDJT two times removed from what is now surely coming down. And Goeff Berman in SDNY, a former Giuliani partner, has got this.
