On my computer at home, I’ve got the video of the Jet-flyover from about a month ago, where the lone jet slowed down to a near hover as it kept its shadow on POTUS and FLOTUS as they faced the Washington Monument.

James Taylor was one of our home town notables (Chapel Hill, NC) along with Charles Kuralt, and the men's wear designer Alexander Julian.

James' dad was the head of the UNC Medical School. I didn't know James but I did know Livingston and Kate.

His song, Sweet Baby James, was written about his older brother Alex's son, James.

He wrote Fire & Rain in the psych ward of NC Memorial Hospital for heroin use. The ward in South Wing had previously been the Maternity Ward where I was born in 1955. Just across Manning Rd. was married student housing at the time (my dad was a 3^rd year law student at the time). It is now a parking deck for the hospital.
