Went to Club Excellence in Punta Cana a couple of years ago. The ambiance was great. The food terrible. During our stay my wife and I both got sick (probably from the water we were brushing our teeth with).
After this spate of stories about the place...we won’t be going back...
My husband and I stayed at the same resort this past April. Was my first trip to this type of place. The water was amazingly beautiful and the highlight of the trip. The employees seemed eager to please and welcoming, but I just didn’t have the ‘feel goods’ about the Dominican. Definitely knew I was not in the US anymore.
It’s sad, because I think the tourism is benefiting the country as a whole, and stories like this are sure to hurt the industry.
