"Complementary NARCAN"

A typical feature of all-inclusive resorts?

Respiratory failure and pulmonary edema are both listed as possible signs of Glyphosate Poisoning (Roundup). I wonder if some of the rooms had bug infestation problems and were sprayed with roundup. Or if something more sinister like poisoning the drinks in the mini-bar is possible?

There was an American couple who in the last year or so were poisoned by just such an incident. The hotel was using a toxic pesticide that is banned in the US. I think one or two family members died. Then there’s always the toxic bootleg liquor passed off as top shelf!
Travelers beware!

The flu story was from Fiji. This is about Dominican Republic.

Of course. Just like those corrupt idiots on Aruba when the teenager Natalie Holloway was murdered. There is no amount of money I would take to go visit any of those island places, and Mexico as well.

I remember the case you are talking about It happened in the Virgin Islands. The father and his 2 sons suffered neurological problems. From the picture in the article it looks like they are now in wheel chairs.

People were also guessing that the couple in the DR may have been flu victims.
The story about the 3rd victim in the DR just was just picked up by the media within the last 24 hours.

I googled your story. Sounds plausible. Maybe the resort or somebody working for the resort was refilling minibar bottles with tainted alcohol.

Unfortunately it seems substituting a different type of alcohol for an established blend of liquor would be to save money.- Tom

I have never, ever used anything out of a minibar. And I’ve stayed in plenty of hotels. I always just take my own stuff. Never understood why anyone would pay mini bar prices.

Pretty much, yeah. And if you include
alcohol, which is a recreational drug,
the number approaches unity.

I agree mini bars are overpriced but they are “free” in the all-inclusive resorts. They are replenished daily as well.

I don't think they had time to locate the local drug dealer.

Unless it was the bellhop.
