I love my Soda Stream, too! So much easier than lugging cases of soda water from the grocery store. I drink a couple liters a day - on ice, slice of lemon or lime...refreshing! A cartridge lasts about 2 months so it pays for itself in no time.
So, that would make Coors Light...Elk Urine?
What’s it like being 67 if you are in good shape like yourself?
Is it much different than 51?
YES I have a fear of aging even though I never did before but crossing the FIVE ZERO hit my like a brick :)
BTW, you are INSANELY healthy if you drink 95 percent water and have the equivalent of really NO soda.
And how do you decide which occasion is WORTH having the 2 to 4 year have a year?!?! :)
Any advice from you on what best to do now (regarding health and any other arena) is very welcome by me!!
The pretty severe head injury in my late 30s really ate up my 40s and my money :)
But I am quite well recovered, so I am rebuilding body and finances at 51 and both probably need a different approach at 50 than 30.
If you are able to give any advice, thanks!!
If you wished you never received this post, LOL, I certainly understand!! :)
Not mad & I did read your post. I was maybe vaguely aware of the whole la Croix thing. All I’m saying is that you have friends who care & they might be clueless in the food & drink department, but they meant well.
Something you may like is Celestial Seasonings raspberry zinger sun tea. Put 2 tea bags in a quart of water & leave in the sun for a few hours. So refreshing!
They are awesome. I just always marvel at how even when you tell Americans that processed food is poison they wont get it. My friends have had brain tumors, thyroid tumors, kids with ADHD etc. they ask my advice and totally ignore the food aspect. They trust the food industry.
Been drinking it for years. Don’t believe a word of it.
Pure Leaf is the only one that I’ve found that actually tastes like tea. And yes you can buy it in different sized bottles. Just unsweetened Pure Leaf tea.
It's even organic.
And aged to perfection.
Heres an item that just got posted on FR
My point- Americans eat poison in processed food
They trust the FDA and also the food companies to keep them safe
There is no reason for them to do that.
This article from the Brits describes one situation

I spent four years. In Germany. Never had a headache
Was in country deployed for about a year. We ate local food for a month - it was great before the US - I guess army- food guys showed up with the American processed food. Nothing but headaches migraines anxiety fatigue.
No one believes me. They just eat crap and suffer from cancer, hypertension, diabetes with no correlation
I feel like I think I remember feeling at 40 (even though the body ain’t as snappy and doesn’t have quite the same endurance).
Had a hip replacement 3 years ago and the rehab nurse said I was in good shape for 64 (presented as 50) and I didn’t need them to watch me do the exercises.
I need to top the few smokes I still have each day and lose about 12 pounds to get back to my “fighting” weight of 180 to actually be “insanely healthy for my age”.
Active all my life and started weight training at 15 and have run around the world and then some (hence the hip) to stave off the inevitable as long as possible.
The few sodas I have are usually associated with a junk food top at Mickey D’s or some other place...a Coke can taste good with a burger and fries...but I hardly eat most fast foods these days (but pizza will be my life-long weakness - hence the 12 pounds or so I want to lose...).
We try to eat fairly healthy and at least 2 meals a week are salads (Chef Salad style with chicken or tuna for some protein).
Some of my apparent well being may be genes (but family not noted for disease-free longevity - maybe got the right mixture from the contributors) but long-term and fairly constant exercise is probably the biggest factor...still do some strength training 3-4 days a week and instead of running, walk (have a treadmill) 2-4 miles a day as a specific exercise. Recently moved and sold the BowFlex and will pick up one of the total gyms Chuck Norris advertises before long to keep from having to go to the workout room in the condo complex.
Do some form of exercise every day and as you get used to it, build on it but don’t make yourself tired from it...moderation is the key to making it easier to keep doing it. Cut back on some of the junk and eat slower - I find that when i take my time over a meal, I end up feeling full with 1/2 - 2/3 of the intake I regularly ate in my younger - faster burning days.
If appropriate, tell someone you love them every day and acknowledge God a time or two every day....and avoid the bad parts of town at night....;-)
Wow. That’s a lot of great stuff and I dont feel like 40 now, at 51 :)
I will do what you mentioned as I always start off too hard in exercise routine and then get sick of it after a month!
As for the 12 pounds, I WISH TO GOD that is what I had to lose :)
I’d have to lose a small person to weight that :(
Avoided fast food like the plague for several months and lost some good weight but the monkey is on my back again.
All about comfort food. Need to find something else to take comfort in!
You definitely are on top of everything and gave some great advice and I appreciate it.
Funny you mention stay out of bad neighborhoods at night because I used to walk from Rock Plaza in the city to the ferry at 3am after work using the west side, which was a den of drug dealers, prostitutes and ghouls of the worst kind.
I just liked to see if I could make it to the ferry every night :)
What an idiot :)
Than you again.
