Michigan GOP congressman says Trump’s conduct impeachable
Politico ^ | 5/18/2019 | ANDREW DESIDERIO

Michigan Rep. Justin Amash became the first Republican lawmaker to declare that President Donald Trump committed impeachable offenses and that Attorney General William Barr “deliberately misrepresented” special counsel Robert Mueller’s report.

Amash, whose libertarian views often put him at odds with Trump and his fellow Republicans, posted a series of tweets Saturday afternoon outlining positions that even some Democrats have been unwilling to embrace — an extraordinary development that comes as Democratic leaders face increasing pressure from progressives to launch impeachment proceedings.

“Contrary to Barr’s portrayal, Mueller’s report reveals that President Trump engaged in specific actions and a pattern of behavior that meet the threshold for impeachment,” Amash wrote, arguing that lawmakers have become too afraid of using impeachment to deter presidential misconduct.

“Impeachment, which is a special form of indictment, does not even require probable cause that a crime (e.g., obstruction of justice) has been committed; it simply requires a finding that an official has engaged in careless, abusive, corrupt, or otherwise dishonorable conduct,” Amash wrote.

Who is this stooge and how much was he paid off to say this? The Mueller Report doesn't say anything remotely close to saying Trump engaged in specific actions for impeachment...

Anash’s business is importing Tetkton Tools from China. He stands to lose big money personally from the tariffs, and the return of competitors like craftsman to America.

From Wikipedia:

"He and his brothers are co-owners of their family business, Dynamic Source International which includes Amash Imports, Inc. (founded in 1956 and using the trade name of Amash Brothers Distributing and Michigan Industrial Tools) and others. Their family businesses are heavily invested in China which include Trekton and other products."

Amash's family tool business is heavily invested in Chinese manufacturing. Add to that Amash voted against funding for the wall.

It should be easy to primary him out. I hope that Trump and others can find a good candidate to do that.

Fist, his position on impeachment doesn’t even matter - Nancy will easily get 218 votes from Democrats alone, if she pushes the issue. What counts is the Senate, and now with Romney AGAINST impeachment [i.e., removal of Trump from office], the best hope that the Dems had of even getting one Republican Senator on board just vanished.

And, actually, this just made life for the Democrats MUCH MORE DIFFICULT in House, since now the pressure to vote to impeach Trump will go up, BIG TIME, and if the Dems don’t go for it, they seriously risk getting punished in 2020 by their base.

President Trump will Crush people like this.

Michigan was once a good place, - Liberals came and conquered it. Michigan is quickly becoming a total wasteland. Liberalism is a mental disease!

Many locals seem to think Amash is great. Due to his business activities I think. Amash is no conservative he is a sort of do-it-yourself libertarian with many of the nuttier aspects of Ron Paul. He is also a Lebanese, though not muzzard. As with many Lebanese he detests Israel whose existence he blames for screwing up the Mideast and whose action led to the Lebanese Civil War.

This is beautiful! President Trump has the magical ability to force his (and our) hidden enemies reveal themselves. They may think they’re hurting him, but they are only calling judgment upon themselves. More winning. Thank you, Amash!

Let’s hope they find a good candidate to primary this schmuck, and publicize it so we can contribute to his opponent.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Do you actually believe Romney?
He’s praising Amash for his courage.
Next week he could be for removal.
There are more than the 18 votes needed among the Bush League Republicans in the Senate.
In addition to his personal financial interests that stands in opposition to Trump trade policy with China, the guy is apparently an attention hound and has pulled stunts like this regularly. His accomplishments in Congress could fit on the head of a pin.
The Cook Partisan Index for his district (Michigan 3) is +6 R. He was unopposed in the Republican primary in 2018. The Republican voters of the 3d District need to send him back to selling cheap Chinese tools out of the trunk of his car.
Get this guy in an interview and ask him point blank: what specific actions are you talking about along with the evidence they actually happened. If he says anything beyond the normal blather, ask him if someone denies something he is accused of doing, is that obstruction. If he says yes, ask him if he ever heard of the 5th and 6th amendments along with the first.
