National reactions to Alabama’s abortion law – a measure that essentially bars the practice in the state- continue.
Alabama Gov. Kay Ivey signed the measure Wednesday, a day after it was approved by the Legislature. The law would make it a felony for a physician to perform, or attempt to perform, an abortion, with no exceptions for victims of rape or incest.
The law prompted calls for travel boycotts and concerns from business leaders that the controversy could put a halt to economic development efforts in the state.

Boycotts are rarely effective. Besides, on the flip side, maybe MORE vacationers, visitors, businesses will go to Alabama.
