There was more than one Tokyo Rose
I remember a while back when I was little seeing clothing at Nordstrom called “Tokyo Rose”, I asked my dad if I can have one of their smaller blouses and he almost had a coronary when he saw it. That line lasted about a week before it was pulled. I wonder what happened to the buyer of that line.
But only one was “sofisticated,” with an “f.”
C-mon maing! you be like the spelling tzar or grammer nazzi or sumthin... “but teacher, teacher there was more than one Tokyo Ro...” really, really... just kidding, havin some fun with ya...
there were about 20 females who broadcast in English over Japanese radio services during WWII. None of them used the nickname "Tokyo Rose." Most of them were Japanese, but the most famous was Iva Toguri, and American who broadcast under the name Orphan Ann.
