I knew it was a bad idea to put SUVs on Pluto.

Well, good thing we found out in time. We have less than 12 years to do something about it!

So, we just managed to get a good look at the planet and already there are catastrophic changes predicted inside a dozen years.
If this isn’t grift-for-grant nonsense, what is?

Then they should definitely stop flying airplanes and driving SUV’s on Pluto.

I wonder if the sun has anything to do with this heating and cooling of Pluto?....
To: thoughtomator
Hey, it’s a minor planet. It’s for “the children”...
That obnoxious astrophysicist that got the planet demoted, deGrasse-Tyson?
His point was that if Pluto had the same orbit as the Earth, it would sublimate away.
There’s nothing to be done, so naturally, the gub’mit looks for ways to screw it up with tons of tax dollars.
To: Red Badger
I thought this was already well known. The atmosphere sublimates when Pluto is closest to the sun, and freezes again when it's farthest out. Being a Kuiper belt object, these differ much greater than any planet.

I wonder if the sun has anything to do with this heating and cooling of Pluto?.... It's remote possibility........................

OMG! We have to get on this right away, we need to take immediate actions that will destroy America's economy and jobs, but have .00000000000000000000001% chance of effecting Pluto's atmosphere! Save the Plutonians!
I blame Donald Duck, he never liked Pluto!

Well now that I think of it, what is new in this article is the date which the atmosphere will freeze again. Not very long from now. Aphelion isn't until 2112.
Do you think this will make a come back then?
