Do you really NEED to see the previous movies or is it a good stand-alone? There’s probably a good summary on Youtube or somewhere, and if you know of one, please let us know.

Thanks

You should see Infinity War as a minimum.

YES! You need to see some of the previous movies. Especially the Avenger movies. Hubby and I did a marathon of Avenger movies, because this is a long story that started well before this film This film is the ending of a series of films that include both stand alone Super Hero movies and Avenger (group) movies.

Last year's film "Infinity War" was basically part one and this film is part two. But, there is so much more behind this film than the part one.

Here is the list of movies we watched. We skipped all Ironman movies because I really don't like the character.

Captain America: The First Avenger; The Avengers; Captain America: Winter Soldier; Avengers: Age of Ultron; Captain America: Civil War Thor: Ragnarok (I put this movie in here because the end of Ragnarok is the first scene in Avengers: Infinity War; so, you have an idea of why certain characters are where they are.) Avengers: Infinity War; and then -- Avengers: Endgame.

You can watch other movies such as Ant Man/Ant Man & The Wasp; or the most recent Spiderman iteration. Also, Guardians of the Galaxy. But, I found that the movies I have listed were enough for me to understand the narrative flow of all of the movies

You don’t ABSOLUTELY like, ABSOLUTELY need to see the previous, but to be informed and have a good understanding, “Infinity War” is what you should watch before Endgame. In endgame it contains Thor’s friend from his movie “Thor: Ragnarok” and in order to understand that relationship you have to watch his movie. In “Age Of Ultron” you will better understand Vision, and his relationship with Scarlet. And so on and therefore with the movies. All you need to see is really “Infinity War” or you may be a little confused. Even if you want you can watch Endgame first and then go back and watch “Infinity War” as it is on Netflix.

in my opinion you need to see all of the previous 20 films to fully get what’s going on
