Because I rarely see modern movies I have not paid any attention to the Avengers series at all.

You noted that seeing Infinity War would be helpful...are the previous releases all “stand alone” themes/story lines?

While any of the previous Obie’s build ones h other, they can be treated as stand alone. This one requires too much knowledge of Infinity War to be considered stand alone.
