A Brooklyn lawmaker will be booted from a City Council committee that oversees immigrant issues after recently coming under fire for claiming “Palestine does not exist.”
Council Speaker Corey Johnson confirmed in a statement Monday that Councilman Kalman Yeger would be removed from the Immigration Committee.

The councilman should sue the Chairman and the Council and bring in the top experts on the history of the Middle East to show that “Palestine” as an independent state ever existed.
They will show all the history books before 1947 as HAVING NO STATE OF PALESTINE>
THey will show NO official newspaper(s) for the state of Palestine.
They will show no STAMPS for the Republic or whatever of Palestine, only those issued under the name of the British Mandate of Palestine. I have some in my collection.
They will show that there never was a “Palestinian” Army, Navy, Air Force, etc.
They WILL SHOW that Jews have lived continually in Jerusalem, the Br. Mandate of Palestine, the Ottoman Turk’s Empire, Roman Empire, Persian Empire, etc. as Jews in a land called “Eretz Yisrael” (Land of Israel) for thousands of years despite all the conquests and reconquests, etc.
Some blood tests will show that the so-called Palestinians are a mixture of other Arab subgroups who lived in the region, esp. the Arabian peninsula, Egypt, the old Syrian Empire, the Roman Empire, etc. There is no “PALESTINIAN GENE” (except for the guy who sells Babaganoush at his falafel stand in Ramallah.

Before he leaves he should mention that there is no Kurdistan but there are Kurds. There are Pashtuns but no Pashtunistan, only Afghanistan.
Actually he should make the point that Palestine is a word invented by the Romans to insult the Jews who rebelled against Roman rule. It is derived from the Philistines, the biblical enemies of the Jews. In this age of cultural grievance-crises he could claim that mention of “Palestine” is an affront to the Jewish people, a fact that does not escape the Palestinian people themselves, until the day that a Palestinian state comes to exist and accept Israel and Jewish national sovereignty.
Oh, and remind them that Reagan ended the Cold War by defrosting the Soviet Union and all this Russia hysteria is counter-productive. While we can count on Russia to pursue it’s own national interests, we’d do a lot better pursuing detente, perestroika and glasnost with Russia instead of pushing them into the arms of the Chinese communists and the Iranian-Syrian-Turkish bloc. Despite their many internal issues, Russians are white, westernized Christian nation - which to some on the left is all the reason to look at them with disdain - but for all intents and purposes they are European and with plenty of common interests and economic inter-dependency with Europe, and by proxy with the US.
