re Nickels - I think the only thing that’s (nearly) off the table now is that the Mule is blackest of the black. Seems worst case at this point is Mule was leveraged and has at least served a purpose. The best possible scenarios are still on the table with my usual caveat, TBD ;)

I hope Sessions does run again. I think Roy Moore was treated unfairly, and I hope he doesn’t throw his hat back in the ring, but Sessions IMHO was a good senator - far better than our other one.
Although this last go-round with the gas tax increase being rammed through by the Alabama GOP has a bunch of people mad at them. I hope D Jones is not able to leverage that against the GOP U.S. Senate candidate.
