This is from memory that’s not as quick as it used to be.
After Solomon death Israel was divided into two kingdom the Southern (Judah) and Northern (Ephraim). One of the son of Jacob was so dishonored (Was it Dan?) that he lost his inheritance and it went to one of Joseph’s son (Ephraim).

I’m not sure about that, but I do know that the tribe of Levi did not get a land inheritance. They were the priests in the Temple.
The other tribes were told to set aside land for the Levites as an offering for their service to the people.
Forgot to add, the Levites were the Temple army/police.
