Most of the time this type of counter is a rolling number. The code would look for the active visitors in the last 24 hours, then get refreshed periodically, every minute, 5 minutes, hour, etc.
Aha, I see. So if I look now, it would be the last 24 hours. I look in another hour, it would be the last 24 hours from then. Thanks for explaining.
