Horrendous writing. Good grief! I am normally not a grammar Nazi, but you are 100% correct. Someone tell the writer about sentence structure, how commas properly separate clauses, and the concept of Object-Verb.
I swear, so many journalists today write like they were sending a drunken text.

Another indicator of the total failure of the Educational Industrial Complex...in addition to their marxist indoctrination.
I recall diagramming sentences in the 6th grade for Mrs Erball, my English teacher. Of course, we also stood and recited the pledge of allegiance and said the Lord's Prayer.
