AG represents the federal government in lawsuits and legal clearance. The President signed the E0 but needed to wait for the AG to clear and authorize implementation.
But Barr had to wait for Congress who were moving to block it.
When Congress failed to carry the votes to override a veto, the President vetoed and Barr immediately authorized the government to carry out the President’s order.
THE WALL IS GOING UP!
how does the ag, an attorney and unelected, authorize anything the president is doing. Surely, he is an advisor as is the proper role of any legal council. It’s bad enough attorneys run the legislators but let’s not make the over the elected boss.
