I have a friend who was Special Forces deployed in Desert Storm.

He said they laughed their asses off at their base (in S.A. I think) watching CNN before the ground attack ... General Schwarzkopf sketched out the entire battle plan--troop movements, everything.

The Iraqi generals were also watching and taking careful notes.

Of course, what Schwarzkopf described on CNN was pretty much the opposite of the real plan. Iraqi military jumped right into the trap.

As our friend Q often says, "These people are stupid."

imo gen schwarzkopf was “the face” of our success in desert storm.

I would have voted for him for POTUS.

I had the honor of meeting gen swartzkopf’s CSM.

CSM is a national treasure in his own right.

This was about the time that the President of CNN admitted that they had been lying about Iraq on behalf of Saddam. The excuse was that they did it to keep their Baghdad bureau open. IIRC
