Been there, but not on The Day.
Have been to San Jacinto where Houston defeated Santa Ana and the Mexican Army.
There is a monument there to commemorate that. There is also an unbelievable restaurant called The San Jacinto Inn. When I was little, my grandfather would take us there and the whole fam damily would sit there eating platters of cold boiled crabs and shrimp.... with sides of hush puppies. Happy times and memories!
