I think you’re talking about “Parkour” ... and if timed (with possible penalties for failing to negotiate an obstacle correctly) would be a valid Olympic sport.

Thank you. I am talking about Parkour. The first time I learned of it was in a cluttered urban classroom. One student, to get to the back of the room, very elegantly did one-handed vaults over tables, three in a row. I'd never seen such athleticism, agility, and grace in such an activity.

That would make sense. A Parkour obstacle course would increase interest in track, and rightfully so.
