Wouldn’t surprise me that the central american countries, whose leaders almost universally despise the rural indio inhabitants, had taken money to evict said indios and basically turn the land over the chinese influence. We get millions of the indios. Hence the ‘caravans’ lately. Yay.
YEah I just read that outside investors are buying up large swaths of land in Guatemala, industrializing, and evicting the indigenes. Then their government says go north young man, gives them a few bucks, maybe a phone and off they go. Let the Norteamericanos deal with them. They’re going to have to take them ALL back and deal with them themselves.
