One of my favorites.
He was absolutely brilliant as Churchill in “The Gathering Storm”.

He will be sadly missed, along with Tom Courtney he was one of the best English actors who came out of the 60s...RIP Mr Finney and thank you... 🙏

Hell always be known to me as the best Ebenezer Scrooge.
Watch the scene in his office where he obviously ad-libs Get off me ledger and the cast starts cracking up.

IMHO, the very best portrayal of Scrooge.
His transformations were amazing.
Great movie, too.

One of my favorites. Better Hercule, better Churchill. Loved The Big Fish.

TCM is running Finney’s movie “Tom Jones” right now. He was a rather hansome young man.

He was the doctor in Michael Crichton’s “Looker” - a Sci-Fi movie that was a bit cheesy but quite good in my opinion.

I’m old enough to remember Tom Jones. Sizzling movie for its time.

I know many Poirot fans prefer David Suchet, but I always thought Finney was the best Hercule Poirot - he’s who I think of when I read Agatha Christie’s books. And Finney’s was one of many great performances in “Miller’s Crossing”.
