I’ve been to Bermuda more than a few times. Would go back tomorrow if I could. Always felt much safer in Bermuda than the other islands. Their ferries and buses are great. You can buy a multi day pass, it’s a bargain.
There's no comparison in terms of safety. Many of the Caribbean islands are very unsafe.
Spend a few days - and nights - in the Caribbean. Not on the cruise ship but on land at night. If you're at a resort, don't wonder why they're surrounded by 15' walls. They have heavily armed guards with night vision glasses and automatic weapons. Bermuda is a very different story.
