FWIW I read on another forum that diplomatic flights or military are not subject to searches and she could be smuggling all kinds of stuff around the globe.
Not so on a commercial flight.
While some may be exempt, I can attest that straight military transport is not. We had all our bags opened and inspected prior to departure from Oki, and had to clear Customs in Anchorage while our freedom bird was refueled.
