From what I gather when I can lurk, Pelosi, being 3rd in line for president, if something were to happen while she was out of the country....please extrapolate the rest. LOL
Designated Survivor is the person who absents themselves from the SOTU. Being in the line of succession to the Presidency, they are kept at a secure location until the SOTU is concluded to preclude a decapitation strike by an enemy.
