whats the significance of this All altimeters are set to 29.92 above 18000' MSL. If they were using RNAV, it would be a 'Q' designated route.
I think they meant to imply 18000' outbound beyond US airspace so she would be out of country literally.
I also think the ref is bullshiite.

"Beyond the pail" OTOH, dates back to Lord Nelson's time and refers to missing the bucket as the boat rolls when one is seasick. Personal experience. I'd always thought that this was the origin of "beyond the pale".
Beyond the Pale
The Pale, a defensive line between that part of Ireland under English dominion and the rest of the island under Gaelic control; a usage associated with the phrase "beyond the pale", meaning unacceptable behaviour.

********************************************************************************
The US Government-in case of a mass casualty event at the SOTU. Someone in the line of succession to President does not attend and is secure elsewhere.
To: Cats Pajamas
Did you see the post that said the Justice Scalia used that for fishing.

Does the President get a say in to which person is the designated survivor? If I were him I would make it Pompeo!

Update it and call it “beyond the DMZ” or “over the 38th”?

It’s not what could be termed a bucket.
It is 33 gallon trash can, typical of institutional food prep areas

I did see that about AS using the bucket for fishing. I have sat on many a bucket while fishing with my dear dad who wasn't happy unless he had a line in the water.
I was looking through Scalia's fishing photos on google, haven't seen a bucket yet.
Just messing around, typed in Burch buckets, this popped up and weirded me out.
