The capsule has been built to resist waves and potential attacks by orca whales. Wait? Orcas? Why would orcas attack this plywood barrel? It doesn't look anything like a seal. Unless Orcas don't like florescent orange.

Yes, apparently they are his biggest fear. I'd think leaking plywood barrel might replace that fear.
I'll do the standard 'frenchman rescued' into google in a few weeks. But, that's like shooting fish in a barrel.
