Is this extramural fundraising for the gov’t (wall) setting a precedent that could be turned against us in the future? What if Soros is the key contributor? Redshield? Hitler?

I need to reread the Constitution about funding. If funding can ONLY originate out of Congress than I can’t see it being allowed but there is likely a precedent, I just need to find it. The Democrats will argue that funding can ONLY originate out of House of Representatives.

I did read (previous page of thread?) that someone donated a bunch (over $3 mil I think, maybe more, didn’t pay attention) specifically to renovate some fedgov memorial.

If someone donates for a particular government project, I would assume that the gov doesn’t have to accept it.
