D-Day means an unnamed day on which an operation commences or is due to commence.

There is no way to know when D-day takes place if it takes place. If we knew so would everyone else.

Thanks for that precise insight, Steve Van Doorn.

That actually is close to my own thinking, which is why I chose the word “now” rather than “today.” I think we are in the window of D Day.
