He was a tepid middling QB at Washington and he has been the same in MN.

I have never understood the hype about Cousins. He seems, to me, a perfectly serviceable middle-of-the-pack NFL QB. The Vikings voluntarily gave him all that money. I think they have gotten the real Kirk Cousins in return. So Cousins has not been Joe Montana, but the Vikings' issues are deeper and wider than Cousins.

Apparently the problem is that this type of player is so rare that it costs you $84 million to sign one of them these days.
