Trump campaign finance violation would 'certainly' be impeachable offense, top Dem says
Fox News ^ | 12/9/18 | Gregg Re

The top Democrat expected to lead the House Judiciary Committee next month claimed on Sunday that if President Trump broke campaign finance laws by arranging hush-money payments to mistresses, he would have committed "impeachable offenses ... in the service of fraudulently obtaining the office."

The comments by Rep. Jerry Nadler, D-N.Y., on CNN's "State of the Union" were striking in part because the 71-year-old congressman was on the Judiciary Committee when it voted to impeach former President Bill Clinton, which Nadler said at the time was tantamount to an attempted coup and a gross abuse of the impeachment power. The House Judiciary Committee initiates impeachment proceedings before they head to a full floor vote.

What are these people so afraid of having exposed by this president? This effort by The Swamp goes beyond getting Trump for winning in 2016 or even venting their personal hatred for him. They don’t want their treasonous activities, including the truth of this phony investigation, being discovered by the American people. That’s my guess.

It was HIS OWN MONEY!!! He financed his campaign WITH HIS OWN MONEY, Cohen paid the whores after which Trump reimbursed him WITH HIS OWN MONEY. How the F is this illegal or a “campaign finance violation”?? These people are INSANE. They want campaign finance violations, how about they look into Hillary Clinton laundering $82 million of campaign donations through the Clinton foundation scam?

Since she didn’t keep quiet, demand the money back. Then, the whole issue is moot.

They think that they can get away with whatever they want.

I used to say I hope this does not result in a civil war, but I now say its time for a civil war. A general killing is in order to clear things up.

Hell of a thing when these shyster lawyers think they can get away with anything they want.

I’m thinking that President Trump should get the best team of lawyers to handle this, like:

Greg Jarret, Andrew McCarthy and Joe Di Genova for starters.

I guess that’s not possible for some reason.

It’s our duty as not only American citizens but as human beings to clean this sh*t up, that’s what the declaration of independence was referring to, why there was a revolt. What’s going on right now is a million times worse than anything King George ever did. This is runaway rogue government hellbent on destroying OUR country and our way of life, anything that gets in their way they destroy or attempt to destroy. There is NOTHING that the Rat/RINO uniparty of treason has done that has been any good for the USA. They are 100% about destroying the citizen and the country. They have declared war against us and it’s only going to get worse. Trump right now needs to get the justice dept. off its ass to start making arrests, especially for sedition, or we are going to have another Civil war, without question.

All PDJT has to do is executive order the house sexual assualt payoff slush fund records to be opened. And if they won’t do it, start a full disclosure investigation and declare openly that there is a fund and how much money goes out.

If Trump blinked the Democrats would say it is an impeachable offense.

The problem on this one is that they Federal Election Code does not say it is an impeachable offense to pay someone.

This media propaganda is insane.

Can anyone verify this? A damn Schitt supposedly used taxpayer money to pay a sexual harassment settlement with a 19 year old male in 2013....

If this is true....And this guy Schitt is going around screeching for Trump to be indicted?

Money is fungible. While the funds COULD have come from campaign funds, not all of Donald J. Trump’s capital was dedicated to the campaign for President. For all anybody knows, this could have come out of his personal household petty cash, much as the payment for a kitchen cook or other staff.

And since when does payment of any sum to anybody have to constitute that it was “for services rendered”? Does giving a beggar on the street a dollar bill make that beggar some kind of personal servant? Tribute is paid to these various hangers-on simply to make them go away, and stop their begging.

In any number of instances, the members of both the House and the Senate have availed themselves of a various number of “slush funds” to pay off attempted blackmail, for hush money to keep a potential scandal from boiling over, and most of the time, it works. So many of the members of Congress do not come with clean hands, either, and for them to accuse the President of mismanagement of funds NOT their own, is hypocrisy of highest order. Even those who have never participated in disbursing these funds for less than honorable purposes, are complicit in their tacit agreement to allow the system to continue.

Wealthy men of every strip have been in circumstances where they had to cover over distasteful situations by the payment of cash sums, to make the problem “go away”.

I don’t know what they are thinking Jonnyfive. Hillary used 70 million from the DNC illegally. Obama took hundreds of millions from untraceable donors, and millions from foreign donors. The press and the democrats didn’t think it was a problem. Then, Trump spends 130k of his own money, and we need to have impeachment.

Just doesn’t make sense. The law is applied inequitably on purpose, which is the same a Tyranny. People will get angry.

they will have a run at impeachment-and it will be prodded along by the media. The media know that if they are able to move that ball down the field-it means they are still relevant-in which case their command of capital remains justified.

Part of taking down social media has been in preparation for this run at impeachment the media are about to launch.

Trump certainly knows this
