Does online retail count as a business?
Because of the variety of items they sell it’s a footprint in about 2 dozen businesses (media, electronics, clothes, etc). But even if you roll it all into one (e-commerce) Amazon is only 44%, which puts them at 4% of all retail. They’re climbing, they might actually top 50% of e-commerce after this year. But still what market is that a monopoly in? Beauty supplies (their biggest gainer lately)?
