Tucker Carlson says Trump is ‘not capable’ and hasn’t kept his promises

Fox News Channel host Tucker Carlson set straight any misinformation concerning his views on President Trump: “I don’t think he’s capable,” he said during an interview on Tuesday.

Urs Gehriger, an editor at “Die Weltwoche,” the country’s leading German-language opinion weekly, noted that Carlson’s new book, “Ship of Fools,” is silent on Trump but comments on his critics. And so, Gehriger jump-started the conversation by asking what Carlson thought of Trump’s first two years in office.

Carlson said he cannot stand Trump’s self-aggrandizement and boasting. Then, when asked whether Trump has kept his promises, the usually quick-witted and long-winded Carlson had just one word: “No.”

Tucker’s in love with himself. He’s always under the mistaken impression that he’s the smartest guy in the room. His arguments are clever rather than insightful. Thank God Trump is our President instead of Tucker.

His braggadocio forces people to either judge him by his actions or reveal their true lack of commitment to the country’s well being. For those who can’t support a President who is in the process of radically reforming our immigration system for the better, bringing back manufacturing to the U.S., resetting our trade imbalances with Mexico, China, etc., and bringing peace to North Korea, because they don’t like his bragging, then they have the wrong priorities.

“Most presidents have surrogates to be their bullies, but he[Trump]’s his own bully.”

And that, in a nutshell is what got him elected. You know exactly what you get with Trump. He’s the most genuine, honest President we’ve ever had. I’ll take that any day over a Romney who talks in polite, refined language while his surrogates are stabbing you in the back. As far as costing House seats, who can say, but his campaigning on behalf of GOP Senate candidates was responsible for not only maintaining the GOP majority, but expanding it.

I’m going to assume that his comments were meant to please his overlords.

I *love* the bragging! It’s one of the best things President Trump does. Another great thing he does is Twitter, a complete end run around the Fake News cabal and directly to us.

We finally have a President who faces down other international hot shots and men who think they’re hot shots. And Angela. President Trump does it exuding absolute fearlessness.

Trump radiates strength and power. In China, they call him “Donald the Strong” or “Grand Commander”.

Obama couldn’t get the Chinese to give him a set of stairs to exit his plane.

There isn’t much more cloying than false humility.

Let him boast. He brags about America, too, rather than cataloging all of our imperfections.

I agree with both of you, the next two years will be hellish and once again Republicans will bow and scrape to democrats while working against their own base and our president.

It is difficult to support a party who is so much like the other party. Our government is a very exclusive club and while we pay the dues we had better never think that we can join.

I had so much hope when DJT was elected, I thought for sure all of those of good will already elected to office would rise up and join him to give us back our Republic. Sadly that did not happen, those who I depended on joined the other team instead.

DJT is one man trying to stop a tidal wave of corruption.

Every single “conservative”, bar none, has aspects to him or her that other conservatives don’t view as conservative.

There is no conservative super-politician or person. Ever.

You simply look at what they offer and determine if the detractions make the whole package worth it.

And those detractions are what people argue about.

I agree with your post.
I have to agree reluctantly that I see no strong fighters after Donald Trump.

Gonna clue you in. Did you see how Melania decorated the White House for Christmas?

CLUE
Melania likes Christmas done this way and much grander than what Laura Bush did. Female one upsmanship in action.
But this was also done to lift Donald’s spirits. To encourage him as he is always under media and Dem assault.

You wanted the clue. This is it. To make the White House shine with light and happiness for America and Donald Trump.

I saw him in an interview recently and he came off as an “I’m the smartest guy in the room” type.

That’s ok. I don’t have to like him or agree with him 100% of the time to enjoy his ‘entertainment’. Same as anyone on the boob tube. They’re all actors/entertainers, even if they’re news people. They all put on a bunch of make-up and are mostly worried about their appearance and likeability.

I guess someone must “enjoy” him. For me, he’s SO not worth my time.

I fail to see what is so complicated about loving the good things about the prez and yet still wanting him to improve on his Freedom-lacking flaws. He is FAR from perfect and worshiping him instead of disciplining him when his is wrong is a big mistake.

This could be an attempt to deflect criticism from the Left since his home and family were just attacked by antifa creeps.

I don't have any hard proof or evidence of this.

Just a sense that a reasonable man does not turn on a dime and attack the president he's been defending for a couple of years now....for no reason.

Something's happen to change his mind about Trump.

Or at least to make it appear as though he's opposed to Trump now.
