Great Society

SOME writers have so confounded society with government, as to leave little or no distinction between them; whereas they are not only different, but have different origins. “Great Society?” Humbug. What you are talking about is a “great” government. And since government is (at best a necessary) evil, government will never be better than society. But it will always pretend to be.
The fundamental fallacy of “democratic socialism” is that you can have freedom when government and society are one and the same.
When there is no freedom - when no one is allowed to differ from anyone else - there is no virtue in “democracy”. In such case, if all vote or if one person votes, the issue will be the same.

And it used to be that liberals would present themselves as victims of imposed morality, but not that they have overall become the administration of imposed moral values, and censor (and impose economic sanctions) those who will not essentially salute the flag of Sodom, etc., then they charge is that you are just a intolerant hater, being blind to how that manifestly applies to them.
