Washington Examiner ^ | 2018-11-20 21:00 | Katelyn Caralle

A new progressive strategy blueprint is encouraging House Democrats to use their new majority to play up corruption and legal violations within the Trump administration, and play down the use of subpoenas or other means of investigating officials.

Other than a little foot-dragging on the wall building and no prosecution of HRC yet, what “wrongs” are we discussing?

Is a “legal violation” a violation that’s legal?

The Democrats are total scum. They’ll lie, cheat and break all the rules, and then turn around to accuse you of being the criminal. Donald Trump won the presidency over Hillary. That’s the crime of all crimes to these people so they have to punish him for it!

There are 2 reasons for this. They are learning.

1.) Find “legal” issues that won’t have any merit under legal scrutiny in an investigation that can be used for propaganda. Keep it out of the realm of need for evidence.

2.) Don’t set a precedence lest they start subpoenas on our colleagues where there actually IS strong evidence of crimes and corruption.

One the Dem House hearings begin, there will be a steady stream of leaks about supposed wrong doing. And the press will be heavily reporting every leak.

The quality of an elected government will not exceed the quality of the press.

“Focus on Trump’s Wrongdoings.”

Because your policies scare the heck out of most voters.

Trump has held fire on Democrat wrongdoings long enough.
He needs to start declassifying stuff NOW.

My fear is that the constant drum beat of anti-Trump stories and investigations but no subpoenas to get the truth will erode support as people will tire of the noise, then the Dems bring along a likable who campaigns toward the middle and boom, Trump looses.

Somebody we do not have in the field of candidates today, like a Bloomberg. He even covers the anti-Politician-Business man angle

Bloomberg? You must be kidding.

Yeah, like voters in the South and in fly-over country are going to vote for a short, obnoxious left-wing little jewish guy who wants to grab all their guns and tell them what size soft drink they can buy.

Not going to happen.

“He needs to start declassifying stuff NOW.”

I think the opportunity for a declassification to change the playing field has already passed. He was obviously holding it as leverage to end the Mueller investigation - which his appointment of the soon-recused Sessions allowed to happen in the first place. He’s still holding it as leverage on Mueller, and as long as Mueller trudges on he continues to hold it. It’s a form of MAD. If he uses it first, it gets wiped off the news coverage the moment that Mueller then comes up with any half-assed indictments. It’s who goes last that gets the biggest bang.

This problem with our government as our rulers isn’t going to be solved by exposing wrongdoings. That’s just going to end in the usual “they all do it” meme.

Revolutions from the inside, such as Trump tried, almost always fail. Good government attempts almost always fall to those, like Brutus, who bring out the long knives. Wealthy empires have a certain trajectory, and they all fall in the same manner.

It's the lawyers... They'll at total war with trump.. They run DC with an iron fist and take care of their own.. They don't like Trump and his ideas on "Making America Great Again" because they will loose power, and POWER is MONEY...

I’ve always thought that lawyers should be banned from serving in any type of legislature, from city council to Congress! Why? Conflict of interest! Their bread and butter are ordnances & laws. Their more complicated the law or ordinance the more you need a lawyer. Soon (where we are today!) the simplest public action requires full blown legal representation. The current excess of lawyers drives PC behavior as well as snowflake behavior. The need for a controversy where they will make money is one of the reasons we have these problems.
