That sort of pain is seared into your brain for the rest of your life. I broke my leg as a kid, and I can remember every last detail of that day.
And they’re in first place I think. That SUCKS.
Sometimes a backup will surprise but i dont know their back up is.
And now, I can no longer in GOOD conscience, weigh in anymore on this thread because of the insulting, anti-native american, old fashioned, outdated, hateful, racist name of the team
:)
Every time someone breaks a leg in the nfl they talk to Theismann.
Weird it was 33 years later to the day though.
Are you referring to the "Redskins" or the slave-holding "Washington"?
BOTH!! :)
Actually, ANY word you give me, I can find a reason why it’s offensive!!
I saw the injury on slow-motion on my TVR. GROSS!
His foot bounced around like a sock full of sand.
Oddly enough, I saw the Joe Thiesmann injury 33 years ago as well, just by accident we were watching the game on TV that night, and weren’t into Football that much then....................
Im lying here with a broken fibula. Totally dislocated ankle. Surgery tomorrow. Lots of pain. I went 12 hours without the oxy yesterday and it went up to a 7-8.
As a Cowboys fan I wish him well and a speedy recovery, but i believe his career may be finished............................
What game were you playing?...............
Very weird, like it’s a curse or something.................
Do you? He is only 34.
Are broken leg bones usually a career enser?
It was dor theismann all those years ago!!
More language butchery...Theismann had his leg broken by a coked up Lawrence Taylor. Theismann did not break his own leg
Yes. Unstable and more likely to break again.
His career is over.
He broke two bones, the fibula and the tibia.
Even if it was only one of the two, I would doubt his future in football.
Maybe I’m wrong, and medicine nowadays is more advanced than in Joe Theismann’s time, but his leg bones will always be suspect, strength wise.............
LOL!.........Growing your own ice cubes?...................
McCoy is a great backup. He will do well. He took the University of Texas into the Championship game but unfortunately was injured in the first series and they lost to Alabama in 2010. I personally think that he is better than Alex Smith, but we will find out.
ya know, like you said Tiger, the lets will be unstable and likely to break again. The bones, that is.
It’s so funny because I broke my jaw once when boxing, and ironically, it grows back HARDER, and I never did break it again.
BUT that hardness fades over time and then it is only as strong as the other bones.
But it’s not a bone that is used in ANY athletic way.
It’s apples and oranges and when my ribs were broken, I dont care what other people say, it affected my punching power for a very very long time.
It wasn’t quite pain exactly that made my punches a little weaker.
I just wasn’t the same afterwards.
I guess that doesn’t make sense as ribs should heal and that’s that.
