"The blonde thing" is a sub-section of my "revenge of the nerds" theory.
See, blondes have been seen as conquerors, pillagers, sassenachs, and the enemy ever since the Sais (Saxons) came to Briton and took it over and made it Angleland.
I think this attitude toward blonde people is a reaction founded in other tribe's DNA and historical record.
So, basically, it's part a jealousy thing and part a revenge thing.
But don't mind me, I have lots of weird theories. But no clocks, thankQ.

I have a lot of weird theories too.
and have to be careful where i mention my blonde hair/racial difference theory. Weird people have all-over-the-map reactions. From far left fruit loop, "see we owe someone reparations" to "well you've offended me cause I never did nothin to nobody" to down right racist.
But we humans all got a little prejudice about somethin' whether it's skin color, hair color, what brand of car we drive, what we think of folks who like owls or grits.... and we aren't always aware of how we project our likes and dislikes on somebody else.
And I don't hold with doing anybody any favors for being different either. My Grama had her own business from way before I was born and taught me there wasn't any reason I couldn't be successful in a traditionally male world if I worked and didn't whine.
Just comes down to making every effort to show respect. Sometimes being respectful involves taking a good look at myself (anyone's self) and recognizing that my own awareness of other people might be off.
That's my deep thought theory for this week. I'll need rest before I think that hard again next week. But I believe this does relate to our Q threads. As many have pointed out, this is an inclusive, welcoming space. The main board here has become difficult to cull through due to all the nastiness thrown around. I admire the few of you who go try to fight the good fight there, and you do a wonderful job of doing so respectfully. I just don't have the energy to fight those battles in what little Freeping time I have. FreeQs are a nice respectful bunch even in a heated debate. I am thankful for FreeQs :)
