I make the grits with homemade shrimp stock. The shrimps get cooked in butter on high heat so the butter is slightly browned with the shrimps and garlic.

If you ever tasted my Shrimp grits you'd never want them any other way. I make the grits with homemade shrimp stock. The shrimps get cooked in butter on high heat so the butter is slightly browned with the shrimps and garlic.

That DOES sound incredible!
*texokie sits at the table with her plain - but yummy - butter and slightly salted grits, and KNOWS that that shrimp stuff would be amazing.... and probably good enough to make her magically know French, so she can talk properly to LonePalm.*
* She notices while musing on this culinary wonder of wonders, that she neglected to use good spooning to mouth technique and spilled some on her tee shirt about Math. But only a little bit.... It's near the hem.... maybe no one would notice if she tucks the shirttail in.*
Garlicky buttery shrimp grits with a hint of cheese might be my favorite dish. Unfortunately it's one of the few things my yankee husband isn't fond of :(
